Jacksonville’s restaurant and food and beverage community have once again joined forces to create an unbelievable event to benefit those battling hunger. More than 50 of Jacksonville’s top restaurants and beverage distributors will be preparing samplings of their best dishes and cocktails at the upcoming 3Squares Fundraiser on Thursday, February 25th at the Prime Osborn Convention Center Grand Lobby. Coordinated by Eddie Fink, Jim Mace and Bob Conrad, the area’s best have come together annually over the last 20 years to raise funds to fight hunger in Northeast Florida. 100% of all 3Squares event proceeds will go to benefit Feeding Northeast Florida, a nonprofit agency that provides food to those who struggle to feed themselves and their families. Feeding Northeast Florida President and CEO Bruce Ganger says the event offers a great way for people to support the fight against hunger in our area. “If you’re a foodie, or you know someone who is, it’s a fun way to support the very serious fight against hunger in our community, where one-in-six people – 40 percent of them working families – struggle to put food on the table every day,” Ganger said.
Feeding Northeast Florida
Some of the restaurants featured this year will include Moxie Kitchen + Cocktails, North Beach Bistro, Ragtime, River City Brewing Co., Seven Bridges, Sticky Fingers, TacoLu, Tres Leches, The Cake Shop of San Jose, Southern Charm (formerly Checker’s BBQ), China Mist Tea Co., The Fish Company, FSCJ Culinary School, Bistro AIX, GOS Fine Wine & Spirits, Grape & Grain Exchange, The Grotto, The Loop Pizza Grill, Mai Qui Gourmet Catering, MochaRita’s Deli, and The Melting Pot. Local band The Firewater Tent Revival also returns to provide live entertainment.
VIP tickets are $100 per person, and include a private food and wine tasting at 5:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $70 for 6 p.m. admission to the event.
