The Jax Food Truck Food Court is teaming up with Academy Sports this weekend, October 10 AND 11th to host their third food truck rally. This rally will be Jacksonville’s FIRST two day food truck rally and will also feature a boat show. The event will be hosted from 11am until 5pm in the parking lot of Academy Sports at 11901 Atlantic Boulevard and will have popular Jacksonville food trucks, a kids play zone, a cash bar, and plenty of boats to peruse.
Featured trucks (truck schedule will vary from Saturday to Sunday):
The Happy Grilled Cheese: People’s choice for best food truck in all four major Jacksonville publications. Take it cheesy with their Daddy of the Mac and loaded cheese fries.
Wauga Wauga: Gourmet fusion cuisine with fresh ingredients and creative flavor combinations. It took 15 years to perfect these recipes and it shows! We love their corn tacos and fajitas!
Big Island Bowls: Energizing, healthy, detoxifying acai bowls with freshly prepared fruits and homemade granola toppings all inspired by the owners residency in Hawaii. Your body will love you for this choice!
Fusion Food Truck: Chef Ashley Amin (winner of top Indian chef in San Diego) brings the best Indian cuisine in Jacksonville. Don’t miss their award winning banana curry and tikka masala!
Butt Hutt Smokehouse: Jacksonville’s newest BBQ truck with housemade sauces and melt in your mouth bbq. Their brisket with coconut curry mustard is our favorite!
Le Petite Cheri Cupcakery: Who doesn’t love cupcakes? Le Petite Cheri raises the bar with seasonal flavor combinations (pumpkin spice!) and fresh toppings. Their desserts are rich and decadent, just how we like them.
Delish Kebabs: Authentic and award winning Brazilian charcoal grilled kebabs. Their bacon wrapped chicken was the winner of the 2014 Food Truck Wars! Don’t miss their yuca fries either.
Funkadelic Food Truck: Made from scratch, gourmet seafood, burgers, sliders, and sandwiches. Funkadelic brings a spicy, unique flair to everything they prepare. We can’t get enough of their shrimp sliders and beet fries.
Bold City Pops: Locally sourced seasonal popsicles showcasing unique combinations of Florida’s finest ingredients. Adults and children will both love this!
Cuban Fire Grill: Authentic, slow cooked, homemade cuban cuisine featuring Cuban sandwiches, lechon asado, ropa vieja, and flan for dessert. We have never had anything we didn’t like from Cuban Fire Grill!
Danilo’s Famous Lumpia: It’s called famous for a reason. These Filipino treats are cooked fresh to order every time and are stuffed with beef, vegetables, and spices. Try their dessert turron too – sweet banana lumpia with your choice of toppings.
Son of a Butcher: Jacksonville’s best authentic philly, and we really can’t disagree. Son of a Butcher prepares fresh sandwiches, poboys, tacos, and more loaded with ingredients. Looking for a hearty meal? This is your choice!
Blue Pacific Tacos: Award winning tacos including the unique ribeye bulgogi tacos, sriracha beef, and Malaysian satay. Blue Pacific’s bold flavors can’t be found elsewhere!
Wrap it Up in Jax: Fresh, healthy wraps with Moroccan flair. These wraps are stuffed with delicious vegetables and fresh meats with vegan options available too! Order ahead on their website for pick up.
Island Dream: One of Jacksonville’s newest food trucks, Island Dream features creamy Italian ice and lemonades. We tried them at JFTFC’s last rally and fell in love with these delicious sweet treats.
