If there’s one thing I love, it’s breakfast. If there are two things I love, it’s crepes. And a third thing? Food trucks. Weird combo, I know, but just hear me out. When I can get those three things all rolled into one, it is officially a great day. Luckily for me, the plaza where my office is located hosts a regular rotation of some seriously yummy food truck options, and one of my favorites happens to be Full of Crepe. They are typically around on Thursdays for breakfast and sometimes even stick around for lunch too. Crepes all day?? Yes, please! Full of Crepe has quickly become one of my favorite food trucks and I frequent their truck often.
Walking up to the Parisian-themed truck (formerly painted a vibrant shade of Tiffany blue), you will notice right away just how tiny it is. So it makes it even more amazing that such incredible food is being created inside. The next thing that will catch your attention is the friendly and welcoming service. You’ll definitely be greeted with a smile and chatted up a bit during your short wait. These folks have crepe-making down to an art, and I’ve never waited more than a few minutes for my order.
Now when you think crepes, you might automatically think “dessert.” Full of Crepe does offer a lineup of sweet crepe-y classics like Crepe Suzette and Bavarian Creme. But they also boast a full menu of savory breakfast/lunch-worthy options to suit any palate. Like I said, I am quickly becoming a regular at Full of Crepe, so I’ve tried a little bit of everything. My strategy is to usually grab two – one for now and one for later. Trust me on this…you’ll want another one for later. The great thing about crepes is that they reheat pretty well and are still just as mouthwateringly tasty later on. They’ll even wrap it up for you so it travels a little better, that is, if it even makes it to its destination before being devoured.
Since Full of Crepe is often around my office plaza at breakfast time, I have tried a few of their breakfast crepes. The Greek Sunrise crepe is an especially tasty breakfast option. It is packed full of fresh spinach, scrambled eggs, and tangy feta cheese, with a sprinkling of Greek seasoning. It is bold, fresh and delicious. The addition of bacon puts it over the top. Another favorite of mine is the South of the Border crepe, which comes with eggs, chorizo, and salsa. It is also chock full of cheesy goodness. This is a hearty, flavorful crepe with just the right amount of heat, thanks to the chorizo.
Some of my lunch favorites include the Italian crepe and the Monte Cristo crepe. The Italian is a meaty, melty combo of salami, pepperoni, cappicola, and sundried tomato, all held together with mozzarella and topped off with a balsamic drizzle. It is savory and rich and pretty much a perfect on-the-go lunch. Looking for something more classic? Try the Monte Cristo crepe, which has ham, turkey, and mozzarella cheese. This savory crepe is accented by a tart and sweet raspberry preserves and a dusting of powdered sugar. It is a great twist on the standard Monte Cristo and makes for a tasty and indulgent lunch.
If you’re in the mood for sweet crepes, you can’t go wrong with a Crepe Suzette or a Banana Pudding crepe (swoon). The Crepe Suzette is simple and straightforward, with flavorful orange marmalade and a drizzle of Gran Marnier. The Banana Pudding is rich and decadent. It’s full of bananas, Bavarian cream, and graham cracker crumbles, and is just pretty much perfect.
As you can see, there are plenty of options at Full of Crepe. And with prices ranging from around $7-$11, these tasty handheld treats won’t break the bank. With these made-to-order crepes, the sky is the limit. Want to add something? Just ask. Want to substitute something? Just let them know. You will really be amazed at the big, fresh, international flavors coming out of this adorable little truck.
