Pi (or π) is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, which equates to roughly 3.14, thus the celebration on 3/14. So, to celebrate π, the mathematical symbol that gives pizza its shape, Your Pie will be offering their signature build your own pizzas for just $3.14 on March 14th only. A $3.14 Your Pie consists of a pizza with a sauce, cheese, and any of Your Pie’s fresh toppings. Meats and double cheeses are extra. All craft beer, wine and combos are also $3.14. Due to peak demand in store for pizza “pies,” chopped salads, panini, gluten-free dough and call in orders in general will not will not be offered on Pi(e) Day.

The first location opened in Fleming Island in 2013, followed by a second location in Southside at Tapestry Park. YOUR PIE quickly became a favorite of foodies, families, young professionals and health conscious consumers here in North Florida.
The owner, Dea Sims, is a Jacksonville native and a long time Jacksonville entrepreneur. Each year her company generously donates back to their local communities through “FUN-raisers” (schools, churches and non-profits receive a portion of sales). YOUR PIE North Florida employs 40+ individuals and aspires to be that “perfect part time job” for high school and college students. They also sponsor weekly group runs (Tuesdays at 6:30 pm, 3.14 miles of running with friends followed by a free beer or gelato for participants).
“It’s hard to believe it’s been three years since we opened our doors here in my hometown. Introducing the concept of fast casual pizza in general and the Your Pie brand specifically has been a huge learning curve for me,” says Dea Sims, a self-professed “cooking challenged” restaurant owner. “Although the franchise was young, we thought the concept was clearly on target with what consumers wanted – a fast, fresh way to feed themselves and their families. Our guests can come in, customize their meal – be it a pizza, chopped salad or panini – and eat within minutes versus a traditional restaurant. Founded in Athens, GA by Drew French, the concept for YOUR PIE began when he first experienced authentic Italian cuisine while honeymooning on the island of Ischia in 2006. The laid-back, impromptu gatherings with his new wife’s family and friends all centered around authentic Italian food and served piping hot out of a traditional brick oven, provided inspiration to the future entrepreneur.
